Unlikely Pet
I want an octopus for a pet. I would raise it from a baby and it would live in my house (yes I know they are sea creatures, but this is my little fantasy). Then I could say to people, have you met my pet "Otto"? And they'll say "No" and I'll say "C'mere Otto" and then this giant octopus stalks into the room.
That would be neat.
So...what (unlikely) pet do you want and why?

Ya, can imagine sitting on the couch and feeling a nice goey tenticle wrap around your shoulder and suction to it!! But it would be a great way to keep unwanted visitors from returning :)
My current adopted pets are the deer that walk through our lot every day. I give them nuts and carrots and they let me take pictures of them :) Although I had to yell at a couple of them because I have a feeling that *somebody* has been munching on my poinsettas early in the morning!!
I always wanted Sea Monkeys - they looked so cool when I saw them in the back of comics. I was devasted when I discovered that they were tiny little things and I couldn't see them lounging about on couches and having little sea monkey parties. Oh the pain of disillusionment. Now I want a three toed sloth. That could be fun.

Nessie, the Lockness Monster...I would love to have her for a pet. Just think of the excitement it would cause when I would approach her habitat and holler our N E S S I E and she would come and greet me happily.

I would love to have some otters. They love to play (or so it seems) and so do I.
